Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Courses
The course is a structured programme which is usually taught in a group setting. It comprises 8 sessions, spread over a period of 8 weeks. Towards the end on the course there is a morning of Mindfulness, at a weekend.
Sessions last two and a quarter hours, and include:
- Guided mindfulness practices
- Instruction in gentle mindful movement
- Exercises to enhance awareness in everyday life
- Strategies to deal with stressful situations
- Group discussion
Participants are given handouts and CDs to support their practice.
Home practice is vital, and in order to get maximum benefit from the course, participants are expected to commit about 40 minutes to practicing each day.

Keep your Mindfulness Alive
Every couple of months, I run a morning of Mindfulness on a Saturday or Sunday.
Anyone who has done an MBSR course, or has some experience of meditation is welcome to attend these.
